We held two parties for Evan. First, a fellowship and dinner at home on Saturday. Since it's Ramadhan, the party was set close to the "break-the-fast" time to accomodate all of our guests. This year's theme is about "sharing", so we asked him to share his cake and blow the candles together with three other people, from different generation, who also celebrate their birthday on September.
The old "magic candle" trick that still worked to make people laugh.
The next morning, we brought him to church where he celebrated his birthday with Sunday school teachers and friends.
Back to the house it's time to open the presents. He immediately found his favorite: a small "Mickey Mouse" drum. And he's ready to add some (more) noise to the house!
