He fell from his bike less than 18 hours before the photo session, causing his lips to bleed and swell. We thought he would be too embarrass to show up at school with his lips still swelling in the morning, but we thought wrong! He still wanted to go and tried to smile.
And for his good effort he got extra presents from Santa when we met him again at the school's Christmas event the following week...
...a Santa's bag, full with gifts :)

Poor Baby. I have a picture the teacher took of my youngest son dressed up like an angel with his lip busted open from getting hit by a soft ball. Didn't stop him from smiling wide but like Evan it sure was swollen up.
