I'm still in the holiday mood right now and haven't been dropping much since Christmas. Thankfully, I still received about 210-290 drops daily! I must be missed so many blogs, sorry guys. But don't worry I will soon resume my dropping routine starting next week. Have a great weekend!

It's already December! Can you believe it? We're already at the last month of the year. How time flies, soon we're gonna end this year. Have you planned your end year holiday yet? I haven't!

Anyway, as always, my first post of the month is dedicated to my fellow Entrecarders. Here are my Top Droppers of November and according to the stats page all of them made 31 drops!

My Little Survey :-)

First of all, thank you for taking part of my little experiment and leaving your links on Mr Linky yesterday. Yes, I was trying to track-down who's been clicking my Adgitize ad and came up with the idea to put on Mr Linky. Off course there are other clever ways to see where my traffic come from, using Google Analytic for example, but there are things I wanted to know that Analytic can not provide.

Anyway, after checking each link and deleted some I found 30 valid links. I appreciate all of you who put your links so I transferred to HTML code to become "real links" :)

So, what do I get from that table?

1. 28 blogs have Entrecard widget
2. 2 blogs without Entrecard (off course)

That's it!

That result may not be a valid data to describe my visitors from Adgitize that day. But somehow it's inline with my prediction, so I'll take it anyway.

Why it's not valid? Why I need to do this in the first place?

Yes, it's not valid!

I set Mr Linky to be active starting Thursday Nov 12th @1PM until Friday Nov 13th @1PM Indonesian Time, that's equal to the whole Thursday, Nov 12th Adgitize time. According to Adgitize report I got 105 clicks that day, that was the highest number of clicks of the month and for the second time I reached that number. But as you can see, there are only 30 valid links on Mr Linky. Where are the rest? As if I really needed to explain! They probably scrolled down too quickly looking for Adgitize widgets before even had a chance to read my post title, lol. Not that I didn't anticipate it. I tried to catch them by putting another Linky near the widgets. Didn't work though. Never mind, I will find other way to get you next time you-widget-seeking-clickers!!!, lol.

Why I still buy that result?

First of all, don't say that you never find Adgitize widgets when dropping EC! Because if you "Take dropping Very Very Seriously" like me, you'll find so many blogs with both Adgitize and Entrecard widgets. So it isn't that hard to assume that most of the traffic sent by Adgitize could be Entrecarders, is it? And at least that not-valid-result above supports it. By the way, don't you think it's better for them to merge? What? Bad joke? I know, sorry.

Why did I bother to do this?

The reason is my ad will expire on November 15th! Yup, today could be the last day so time is clicking! With new Adgitize ad price ($24) starting this month and not so much change in money earned (though we've been warned about this) during the first 10 days, I have to rethink before deciding whether I will extend my ad or not. Honestly, I don't have budget for blog advertisement. I can only use free advertisement, means if I bought ads I needed to be sure the earnings will cover them. Looking at the trends of income for the last ten days, I doubt I'll be able to cover the cost with my earnings. So I started to think what will I lose if I don't extend my ad (beside the 100 Advertiser points and its potential earning).

I will lose traffic, that's for sure!! Adgitize has been a great source of traffic ever since I became an advertiser on May 7th. Google Analytic can show it. Though starting this month Entrecard has taken back its position as number one traffic source just like before May 7th. Still, I may lose about 40% of my blog traffic that currently sent by Adgitize.

Now since the not-valid data above managed to convince me that most of the traffic from Adgitize are Entrecarders, I think I still can reach them using Entrecard, don't I? Off course it will need extra work like upgrading my Entrecard status to a deadly serious droppers. I've been dropping around 200+ EC per day anyway so adding up to 300 drops a day won't be that hard. Oh I can not believe I actually wrote "300 drops a day won't be that hard", I must be desperate for traffic!

Why maintaining traffic is so important for me? Well, it relates to my Adgitize earnings. My experience says when I was off-dropping EC for about a week after having my baby last month, my traffic dropped significantly resulting to lesser ad/page view points (about 10-20 points), hence lesser earnings. If I manage to maintain my traffic and get a payout this month I can use it for next month ad cost, right?

I will certainly miss the non Entrecard blogs (usually around 3-5 of them leaving their messages daily in my Cbox). But this only temporary (hopefully).

Does this mean I will not extend my ad this month? Another post will up with the answer tonight. Hopefully there are no storm again so I can write and post immediately. I think just lost my article points for today. I'm late to post this one. We had a blackout for three hours due to storm this morning!

Top Droppers for October 2009

October was probably the slowest month for me in term of blogging and dropping ec (not that I always been in a full speed before though). The reason is, of course most of you already know, I'm celebrating the new member of our family who will turn four weeks young tomorrow. There were days when I was offline and couldn't drop my ec. That's why I'm so thankful to my top droppers as they keep visiting and giving traffic to this blog.
